WWII WW2 Mint Condition US Rear Seam Swivel Bale M1 Helmet with Firestone Liner
Presented here is an amazing M1 Helmet Set in mint condition, with original WW2 netting and follow me stripes painted onto the back of the helmet. Save for the decal, everything about this helmet is from World War 2: The netting is with a drawstring, what you would normally like to see; the liner is produced by Firestone, and save for a few marks on the leather headband (as seen in the photos), it is a beautiful piece ready to be displayed.
The M1 helmet itself is a late war rear seam McCord, with a 1248D heat stamp. The only thing postwar about it are the follow me stripes painted on the back. When I purchased this helmet, the seller said that the stripes were Korean War era, however, through the assistance of other individuals, I have come to believe that it is more likely Vietnam era. Regardless, it remains as a brilliant display piece and could be a great piece to add to anyone's collection.
