Launched, 1 December1944; Commissioned USS Diablo (SS-479), 31 March 1945; Re-designated AuxiliaryResearch Submarine (AGSS-479) on 1 July 1962; Decommissioned and struck fromthe Naval Register, Transferred (loan) to the Republic of Pakistan under termsof the Security Assistance Program and Commissioned PNS Ghazi, 1 June 1964;Final Disposition, lost with all hands 4 December 1971.
