This is an original NOS WWII US GI match safe. These are in good condition for being 80+ years old. This comes in the original 43' dated box. I unearthed these at a very old and out of business surplus yard in Cheyenne, WY many years ago. This is what was issued to the GIs and Marines in the field. They originally had a small piece of carbon in a bottom groove as a striker and a piece of striker paper glued inside the cap. The carbon piece is most likely long gone from age. These are very dusty. There is storage wear on the box as you can see form the examples in the pictures. The single open one I used for the picture I simply wiped off with a cloth. I will be happy to combine shipping for you if you want more than one.
THIS SALE IS FOR ONE BOXED MATCH SAFE. I put several in the picture so you can see the various conditions of the packaging.
I DO NOT OPEN THESE since the boxes are a little fragile. I simply pull the next sealed one off the stack. These are sold as is with no returns.
