Very rare late-1944 transitional front-seam, manganese rim McCord paratrooper M1-C helmet with the earlier OD#3 khaki straps. The lot number is 11?1A, which combined with the rim style dates it to late 1944. The shell exhibits a late-war repaint with original corking.Good condition, straps show some staining, and light corrosion on one of the snaps. The straps are very solid, with only one small fray on the long strap at the bale. The shell is in good shape with some light surface rust in spots and a few small stress fractures.
