Up for sale are USED M1 bayonets with rare reddish brown “Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB) grips. About 100,000 CAB grips were manufactured before they were discontinued because the grips were not resistant to solvents used to degrease the bayonets in the field. The grips were mainly used on M1905 bayonets and early production WWII M1 bayonets. WWII type M1 Bayonets for the M1 Garand or 1903 and 1903A3 rifles. All bayonets have a very nice black finish on them and are marked with “U.S.” and flaming ordnance bomb. Bayonet has preservative cosmoline on it from long term military storage. Grips are very good, no cracks. $149.99 for one bayonet. All are marked the same as pictured. Bayonet will be picked out of this box. All will be functional.
