WWII SOVIET ORDER OF VICTORY - OUTSTANDING MUSEUM REPLICA:
$350.00

This is a superb museum replica of the WWII Soviet Russian Order of Victory that remains in excellent condition. It is constructed of a silver alloy metal in the form of a pentangular star with rays between the arms, measuring 72 mm in diameter. The star is studded with artificial diamonds while the arms of the star are made of artificial ruby. In the center of the star is a silver medallion, 31mm in diameter, with the Moscow Kremlin wall, the Spasskaya Tower, and Lenin\'s Mausoleum depicted in gold surrounded by bands of laurel and oak also colored in gold. The star of the tower had an artificial ruby which is now missing. The laurel and oak are bound with a red banner. The sky in the background is of blue enamel. Against the sky, the letters \"СССР\" (USSR) appear in white enamel centered on the top of the medallion, while the word \"Победа\" (Victory) is in white on the red banner at the bottom. The reverse is with a functional screw back disk and threaded post for attachment to the uniform. This is an extremely well-madecopy of this gorgeous decoration exhibiting a high degree of craftsmanship and as close to owning one as you can get without spending 20 million for an original.
The Order of Victory is considered the rarest and most expensive military decoration in the world with only 22 ever having been award and values at over 20 million U.S. dollars. The first time the Order was awarded was on April 10, 1944. The recipients were Marshal Georgy Zhukov, Marshal Alexander Vasilevsky, and the Commander in Chief Joseph Stalin. Among the other recipients were American President Dwight Eisenhower and British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery. They were awarded the decoration on June 5, 1945, “for extraordinary successes in conducting large-scope military operations that resulted in the victory of the United Nations over Hitler\'s Germany”.8354
