WWII Japanese Adjustable Trench Periscope NIKKO 5X10 No.3244 - RARE Militaria:

Acquired recently from the estate of a collector of militaria is this: World War II Japanese Adjustable Field Trench Periscope manufactured by NIKKO and is 5 X10 No. 3244 Jes 725 as stamped on the frame. To use during battle a soldier would remove this from a backpack and screw in the wooden holder to extend the periscope to around 26\" above the field trench and use the optics in the periscope to access the enemy position. If needed he could slide the metal bar up and extend the mirrors up to 33\". Check one of our photos to see the manufacturers stamp on the frame. These are fairly rare to find anymore and should make an outstanding addition for someone\'s collection of authentic World War II militaria and memorabilia.
