The vast majority of Germans in World War II were Catholics. Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased. This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during theSecond World War. This particular card was printed in remembrance of: Franz Wolf Franz was a Private in the Infantry but also was a member of the Brown Shirts as well as a Party Member. He was awarded an Infantry Assault Badge and fell on October 26, 1942 at the age of 22.If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
