This WWII British Submarine drinking mug was purchased from a Canadian estate.

This WWII British Submarine drinking mug was apparently made as a commemorative item for the H.M. Submarine Auriga (see photos). It is made of pewter, has a glass base and stands about 5.25 inches tall (see photos). It has the subs insignia mounted to front and the mug has age toned overall (see photos). It is slightly out of round at the top and the glass base is cracked (see photos). The front is very nicely engraved with the subs name and \"Sixth Submarine Squadron - Halifax, Nova Scotia (see photos). It shows signs of old use/wear but still makes a nice presentation.

The H.M. Submarine Auriga was built by Vickers and launched in March of 1945. It participated in joint exercises with the US Navy in March 1961 and departed Canada on 25 April 1961 after completing an 18-month tour with the Sixth Submarine Division at Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This is an interesting British Submarine souvenir that would be excellent for display with a sub collection. And if you collect sub items you know how hard it is to find anything.
