This is a very nice World War I U.S. Model 1910 First Aid Bandage and Carrier that is in excellent field used condition. Constructed of light OD canvas duck material and with both snaps undamaged and functional. The interior of the flap is marked ‘THE M-H CO. 7-1918’ along the upper edge of the interior. The inspector’s initials ‘L.B.T.’ are below and to the right of that. The wire bale on the reverse is sewn firmly in place and is undamaged. Inside the carrier is a Model 1910 unopened first aid packet that is in very good field used condition. It is constructed of brass with an OD brown pained finish and complete with “D” ring on the back side. The painted finish remains approximately 90% intact. The medal shows dents from use in the field. The top side is marked, “FIRST AID PACKET-U.S. ARMY – CONTRACT MAY 1918, BAUER & BLACK – CHICAGO U.S.A. – TO OPEN PULL RING – PATENT APPLIED FOR”. A fine-looking veteran that is in excellent, field used condition. 8963
