WWI WW1 World War I Named US Army Soldiers Framed Portrait And Service Document - 54th Engineers.
WWI US Army portrait named to Ibey Agnacious Barnes, Company B, 54th Engineers. Ibey was born in Fargo, North Dakota, and enlisted in the army on May 30th, 1918 in Columbus, Ohio. He was assigned to the 54th Engineer Battalion, which conducted mine emplacement and bridge construction overseas in France. He served overseas from June 30th, 1918, to June 13th, 1919, for a total of just under 1 year of overseas service. The portrait shows Ibey before going overseas in a Victory frame with an Eagle above. There are 2 small breaks in the photo itself and some staining, but still displays very nicely. The service document is in great shape with few flaws, both frames are strong and in great shape.
The portrait measures about 16x22 inches, and the service document measures 17x22 inches. They will display very nicely together and their wall hangers still function perfectly.
