Original Imperial German WWI Gold Wound Badge- It is constructed out of a die stamped that has been painted gold. The oval badge depicts an embossed profile of a M16 pattern helmet, which is above two crossed broad swords. This then all lies on a pebbled field and is surrounded by a laurel leaf and berry wreath which is tied together at the bottom with a bow tie. The pin and hinge are there but missing the hook. The gold paint remains 55% intact.
