This is a scarce First World War German 1914-1918 Front Fighter’s decoration that is in excellent condition. It is an oval silver medal depicting a Model 1918 steel helmet and a set of crossed swords superimposed on a German eagle that is circumscribed “Frontkämpfer des Weltkrieges 1914-1918”, all within a laurel wreath. The plain reverse is with functional pin assembly. It is marked “D.R.G.M.” to the bottom left of the pin and “GES. GESCH.” to the right.
