Item for sale is an original WW1-era postcard depicting a French Antoinette monoplane aircraft leading a cavalry charge against the enemy. Made by Fauvette and numbered 1680. Back is empty except for lines for address. Monotone with overlayed colors. I\'m tempted to say it is hand-colored, but it appears to have had colored overlaid via a crude template. No writing with some minor stains on back. Please see pictures for details.The postcard reads, \"Nous serons vainquers dans tous les combats L\'Aeropane guidera nos pas.\" Translated says \"We will be victorious in all battles. The airplane will guide our steps.\"Postcard will be mailed in a padded, carboard reinforced envelope for safe travel.
