This sale offers a vintage and original cap badge issued to the Canadian 8th PRINCESS LOUISE\'s NEW BRUNSWICK HUSSARS Regiment based in Hampton New Brunswick Canada dating to World War II. The badge appears to be made of brass and has a nice patina from age. I was told this badge was a battlefield pick up on a battlefield in Italy. The lugs on the back are not intact. 100% original, not a restrike. Measures 2 inches long x 1.25 inches wide (5cm x 3.5cm). This regiment fought in Italy along the Gothic Line and in Northwest Europe in 1945 during World War 2. Condition: missing lugs, has some discoloration, and the crown has a small dent - typical condition for battlefield finds. Displays nicely! Great addition to your military insignia collection.
