WW2 RCAF OBSERVER PARACHUTE HARNESS. A nice example of the Observer-type parachute harness worn by mostly bomber aircrew.

A possibly unused example of a Canadian-made Observer parachute harness. It is in fantastic condition, with no damage, issues, or wear to report. The harness material is very clean, and undamaged, with no fraying or wear we can see. All metalwork is done in a high-quality chromed metal, all are in excellent condition, and both clips worknicely. The quick-release buckle is the cut-off Canadian style, again in excellent working condition. Attached to the harness is again an excellent condition back pad, marked with I.A.C ink stamps. This indicates it was made by the Irvin Air Chute company, which matches the markings on the harness itself. The harness is also ink stamped on the back of the harness, made by \"Irvin Air Chute, Hamilton Ontario\". To the front of the harness, it has two date stamps, dated 4-1943. Overall a very nice harness, ideal for an RAF display, collection, or museum.
