Original hard cover book, measuring approx. (4 1/2" x 5 1/2"). Contains (29) pages of entries from 1943 to 1945. Written in both pencil and period ink. Contains an official photo of Pvt. Eugene F. Cook, Culbertson, Ne. Serial Number 37347258. Contains his life in the service from his order of induction May 18, 1943 until January 21, 1945. He starts out being assigned to the Air Force and is stationed at the Amarillo Army Air Field. After a while, he is sent to Sioux Falls where he graduates as a communications cadet and instructor. Interesting reading about camp life and all of the things that have to be done and occur during his time in the service. It appears that he spent all of his time at these two bases. Lots of detail about everyday life. He receives news of a friend being a prisoner of war, an officer being murdered, being a pallbearer at a funeral of a fallen soldier, etc. Very good and clean condition. Tight cover and binding and very nice interior pages. Please see all photos. VI
