WW2 British RN Siebe Gorman diving knife, original cast brass scabbard is included. Scarce WWII era Royal Navy issue dive knife in excellent overall condition.

Original British Royal Navy issue dive knife manufactured by the famous English SIEBE GORMAN & CO. diving equipment company. The original design with handles made of wood or stacked leather washers goes back to the pre-WW1 years; the “upgraded” plastic handle version was used throughout WW2. With the exception of the special-order knives with non-magnetic blades used in demining operations most of these knives had high-carbon blades for the duration of the war.

This knife is about 13-1/4″ / 33.5 cm overall; the blade is about 7-5/8″ / 19.5 cm long. Cast black plastic handle with brass guard and screw-on pommel. The handle is in excellent – no chips, dings, or contact marks on the pommel; the handle is solid; all parts are tight. The knife is in excellent condition and the blade still contains its original Cosmoline treatment. This war-era diver is in fantastic condition; all parts are tight with no play. The bronze scabbard is in top shape as well; some oxidation near the blade tip is noted for accuracy. Blade edge as a whole is fantastic and free of damage and blade tip is intact and perfect.
