Original WW II Black Crackle Zippo. These were made from 1942-1946. The insert is original and has the same patent number of 2032695. It has a 3 barrel hinge and a 14-hole insert.
From the estate of a WW2 US Army veteran.
I loaded a fresh flint and a bit of fuel, and it fired right up.
Considerable wear to the exterior. The guy probably still had it in his pocket when he passed.
The wick may need replacement if you intend to use it regularly. The bottom is convex, causing the black to completely wear off. It doesn't stand because of the rounded base.
