Another interesting manuscript book from the Edward Dent family archive of Shortflatt Tower in Northumberland.Another posh brown leather book which is very fat with all the photographs and ephemera stuck in it. It is 3 inch deep now.
Its an album titled inside CANONS .. this is Canons Park Edgware, the home of Sir Arthur & Lady Du Cros ..mother and father of Renee Hedley - Dent.

With newspaper clippings, real photographs, dried flowers, sketches in pencil and colours, letters, Horse racing related cards and tickets, 1912 Australian CRICKET team autographs - signatures and South of England team signatures, Fox hounds and hunt meetings, and all sorts a really good aristocratic family album.
Many First World War related items within it.
Signed in the front to Renee from Harvey Du Cros 1909 - a page of writing and real photo and signature of Maj G.H. Tuke 1918 - some very good pencil sketches - watercolours - poem by Lily Dent - Dita Mallet Pringle - an Epsom races carriage £1 ticket from 1925 - Liverpool Spring Meeting 1927 - Elizabeth Geiger 1913 - Angela Thompson a nurse of VAD working at Wentworth Hall has done a small watercolour 1912 - wedding snippet newspaper cuttings of Denise du Cros.
Alan V. Insole 1923 in The Times, Daily Mirror, Daily Graphic, Daily Sketch, The Bystander all dressed in Spanish mantillas - Australian Team 1912 signatures - South of England Hastings 1912 signatures.

Christmas card from Aunt Lily who was in the 26th Wing RAF with 2 photographs of her in uniform 1918 - a Christmas card from Fifth Army France 1918 - East Surrey regiment Christmas card 1917 - 1920 Market Harborough Hunt Ball The Mount.

This book is approx 7 x 9 inch x 3 inch deep now... was originally 1 and half inch deep book... the amount of stuck in items is fabulous.
Far too many pages for me to photograph them all for you... not only that if I do put more photographs on you will not have the enjoyment of seeing it for the first time when you read it.. Plus I would rather keep some of the photos and content away from the public space of the internet. So you the buyer can have sole right to it as I have !
A very interesting scrap book from this very interesting archive which has been passed down the Edward Dent greyhound trainer, famous for the dog called Fullerton that won the Waterloo Cup three years in a row that was owned by Colonel North. ....passing a long to the Hedley - Dent families of Shortflatt Tower in Northumbria.
A really good aristocratic family archive.
