WW1 Prussian Battle Damaged Pickelhaube Helmet:

First World War Prussian other ranks Pickelhaube helmet having shrapnel damage to the front. Black leather skull with brass fittings, spike absent along with cockades, chinstrap and backstrap. Prussian eagle plate semi attached to the front, with a portion of the wing missing, consistent with the 1.5 inch shrapnel damage to the skull. Interior retains its black leather liner with consistent damage around the hole. Remains of the owners ID label, and there are issue markings to the rear peak ‘1896 34A’. A great “been there!” piece.
