WW1 American Officers Testing M1917 6 Ton Tank VERY EARLY RARE:

A set of photos from WW1 depicting what I believe to be American officers performing a field test on the M1917 6 ton tank. I am almost certain these are American officers and I believe these photos may actually be taken in the US. Notice the power lines, the automobile in one picture where the tank appears to be driving through some barracks. The barrack construction looks very American but determining this would go a long way in identifying these photos to some degree.
In this test they appear to be testing the trench crossing ability and you can see most of the pictures where the tank is overturned. In one photo a soldier is standing on top of the overturned tank. The early tests for these tanks were conducting in 1917 and were first used in combat in May of 1918.
A very rare set of photographs, and I am speculating, given the other photographs this was found with, likely very early in the implementation of the tank in the war.
One photo is a duplicate.
I have several other photographs from this collection, and they all seem to be either early prototypes or tanks being tested before use. I think they may have been from someone associated with the Holt Caterpillar company.
