Here is a perfect rare matching pair of WWII Snowshoes.

Made by Fahlin and they are 10 3/4\" wide x 21 1/4\" long.

Both pair have matching serial numbers 8693!

B.Q.M.I 9 (which is probably the size) U.S.1943

Info we gathered about them:

Vintage WWII bear paw snowshoes. They were sent to Europe on ships with the elite 10th Mountain troops starting in December 1944. The snowshoes are stamped with \'U.S.\' the name of the manufacturer, size, serial number and date, either 1942, \'43, \'44 or \'45. They are made of ash wood, and rawhide. They were commissioned by the government under strict specifications and were the only companies allowed to use rawhide since it was rationed during the war. These are marked US-1943 Fahlin and they each have a serial no. stamped on them.
These would make a great collectible. The Fahlin Co. went bankrupt in 1950.
This pair is in perfect condition, no breaks in the raw hide & no chips in wood however their is a very small amount of white paint on both. Probably can easily be taken off. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have.
