Amazing - Beautifully Done!

Nothing Missing - All There

Not a Reproduction -- It's the Original Papers -- 84 Years Old (1934)

THE COMPLETE STORY SERIES - 61 NUMBERED "CHAPTERS"

Written in chronological order, starting with the archduke's murder (Chapter 1), through the "Dawn of a New Era" at the War's end (Chapter 61).

[ MUST SEE - VIDEO!... ]

PLEASE check out this YouTube video, where you get a quick virtual tour of the 40 full pages, and a peek at the scrapbook as well. IMPORTANT: You will get an understanding of this collection's condition, so be sure to watch it.

Watch the Video: https://youtu.be/npA89FKSuCE

Correction: The video states that it's a 40-page set, and that the scrapbook is a separate collection. That is incorrect. As explained below, it's a single series of 61 chapters, including what's in the scrapbook and what isn't.

In 1934, to mark the 20th year since the start of World War I (1914), The Philadelphia Evening Bulletin [Newspaper] ran a daily full-page spread of amazing photographs documenting major events and themes of the Great War.

Each day's photo spread focuses on a specific theme -- for example, Refugees, Tank Warfare, America Joining the War, etc. -- with explanatory captions and text. It occupies one entire page (i.e., one side of a page), 17" x 23".

This came from an estate. The gentleman saved each day's page, from beginning to end of the series. NOTHING IS MISSING; YOU HAVE ALL 61 CHAPTERS.

He started clipping them and laying them out in a scrapbook -- getting as far as Chapter 21. The remaining 40 chapters (22 through 61) are unclipped -- still as their original full pages! So all the material is there, some in the scrapbook and some not.

[ CONDITION... ]

- The scrapbook ITSELF, being 84 years old and made of cheap Depression-era paper, is extremely fragile. The front cover has come loose, and there is chipping at the edges of the now-brittle pages, especially toward the very beginning and end of the scrapbook. (The interior pages are better, since they had less exposure to oxygen.)

- As for the newspaper photos themselves -- the ones affixed in the scrapbook, as well as the full pages -- they are not so bad. They're still old newsprint, with some fragility (some edge tears), and significant yellowing, but certainly not crumbling. I don't believe there is any paper loss with the newspaper material. Just a bit fragile.

- To be clear, the newspaper clips are affixed to the scrapbook pages with some type of 1930s-era adhesive.

- ALSO, a few of the full newspaper pages have some dark staining. (See video.) Maybe they were the ones stored on the top of the stack. Anyhow, it's just a few of them, and it does not interfere with being able to read them or enjoy the pictures.

See condition for yourself -- in the video: https://youtu.be/npA89FKSuCE

The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?) It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up.

PLEASE SUPERSIZE ALL PHOTOS, AND ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE offerDING/BUYING. I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER.
