** Aimé Dupont (1841-1900) was a Belgian-born American sculptor and photographer. Best known for his photographs of opera singers when hewas the official photographer for the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.
William Gillette was an American actor-manager, playwright,and stage-manager in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Best remembered for portraying Sherlock Holmes on Broadway in 1899and in a 1916 silent film.
Gillette has over 30 Broadway credits as performer and or writer.Born: 1853, Hartford, Connecticut; died: 1937, Hartford, Connecticut.
