Railroad pick axes get their name from their use in building the United States railways, or railroads as they were called.
Cast is marked with a \"P\" and the handle is newer and also marked \"3C Railroad Pick Frankforth - I - RP \" There is more lettering under Frankforth, but can\'t make it out. Excellent for Age. Handle is strong, no cracks or splinters.
This maddock is very strong and sturdy yet. Age is unknown.
The handle is 36\" long with the width of the Axe measuring 5\" x 3\" and the Adze measuring 7\" x 3 3/4\".
