With obscured glazing throughout, this example did have \'Adam\' green paint, so it definitely came from the grand staircase complex, but given its function with an unusual opening top section and the unique glazing, I think it\'s most likely from one of the special staterooms on Promenade Deck, and therefore matches nicely with the marked \'special stateroom\' surround, also included (please note, these will not be split).

Window in teak, from within the ships famous and iconic Grand Staircase complex. The oak painted internal surround, from one of the ships special state rooms on the Prom deck, c-1911.

Window measuring:- 32\" x just over 66\"

Surround measuring:- 35\" x 74\".

Please note, I was lucky enough to retrieve five windows from the Haltwhistle paint factory, three have now sold and reside in private collections.

This is the only example I have seen on the open market in over 20 years with an original opening function, some altered examples were sold by Ocean Liner sales in the original Haltwhistle sale, but none with the original unaltered shape as shown in this example, and none with the majority of the original obscured glass that this example displays.
