WELL MADE LARGE APPALACHIAN POINT - MURFREESBORO COUNTY, TENNESSEE - DOVER CHERT:

LargeAppalachianprojectile point that measures 3\" long by 1 5/8\" wide. This type is Middle Archaic dating in the 6,000 to 3,000 BP range. Made out of striped brown Dover chert. Found in Murfreesboro County, Tennessee. Thin and well made for the type, and out of Dover (most all examples were made out of Quartzite). If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
