This Wedgwood Jasperware dark blue planter is a beautiful neoclassical piece that I am estimating to be from the mid to late 1800s in excellent used condition. In researching the piece on the Wedgwood site, logo and letter hallmarks put it somewhere in that era. I am not an expert on Wedgwood. If you are looking for this piece, you probably know better than I do, the exact date of manufacture. I have given you enough photos to make an informed purchase.The round shape and small size at just over 4 inches high, make it suitable for any room or occasion. This original piece was manufactured in the United Kingdom and finished and all hallmarks are visible in photos.Whether you're a collector or using it for your plants, this planter is a must-have for anyone who appreciates Victorian-era antiques. This piece does not have any chips, cracks, crazing or flea bites although, one of the lion's ears appears to be missing the tip. I am unsure if that was manufacture error or an actual chip as the edge is not sharp.The rim is in exception condition as is the base rim. Please view all photos before making an offer or purchasing.
