This is a rare 2004 Limited Edition WDCC figurine of the Beast from Beauty & the Beast. The figure stands at 5 1/2\" tall and comes with its original box and COA. This is a must-have item for any Disney or WDCC collector. The figure was originally planned as a Spring Event exclusive in 2004, then was bumped for a Jessica Rabbit statues instead. So then this figurine becomes a limited edition of 4000. This piece is #2433. Some of the earlier versions (which I believe this is) were printed with a special event backstop, which was not included in future editions. So this may or may not have it. I have not ever taken it out of the box.
THIS ITEM HAS NEVER BEEN USED, DISPLAYED OR REMOVED FROM BOX OR PLASTIC. I ONLY TOOK OFF TOP FOAM COVERING AND PEELED BACK THE PLASTIC TO TAKE PICTURES. BUT I HAVE NEVER REMOVED FROM BOX OR THE FOAM PACKAGING AROUND THE BEAST. It has been in its box since I purchased it in 2004, sitting in a closet with other WDCC figurines I did not open.
Sorry there are so few photos, but I did not want to take the Beast out of box, and ruin that new product feeling. YOU WILL BE THE FIRST PERSON TO REMOVE AND DISPLAY HIM. He is still the same way he was when sent from the manufacturer, so hehas not been exposed to any kind of elements. The Beast looks beautiful. In order to show you what he looks like out of the box,I added a few production pictures from the WDCC Duckman\'s website, one of the top authorities on everything WDCC.
Shipping: The box is big, heavy and an awkward size. So it will need to go in a 16 x 16 x 16 box. Shipping is determined by your destination. Or it can be picked up locally. Up to you.

Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on the 1756 fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont (who was only credited in the French dub),[6] while also containing ideas from the 1946 French film also of the same name directed by Jean Cocteau.[7] The film was directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise (in their feature directorial debuts) and produced by Don Hahn, from a screenplay by Linda Woolverton.

The Classics Collection started in 1992 with three scenes, Bambi, Cinderella, and Fantasia\'s Sorcerer Apprentice. Many other series have since been introduced. Some figurines are limited, and some have been retired. Some of these figurines have risen high on the secondary market. The figurines are made of porcelain, and the process is similar to that use to make Hummel figurines. Individual pieces are molded, put together, and fired in an oven. Then they are painted and fired again. Each figurine is marked on the bottom, signifying the year it was produced. The marks represent significant milestones in Disney history. The figurines with the first year mark are usually the most desirable.
