Goofy and his friend Wilbur, a tame grasshopper, team up for a fishing expedition. Goofy decides to use Wilbur as bait, but has second thoughts when he realizes too late, that his friend might actually get eaten by a fish.[4] Goofy has a row boat and a net, but no fishing rod. Wilbur, being a live bug, becomes the perfect choice for bait inside the net, which will lure fish when the boat approaches.[5]

Wilbur's life depends on the hapless and incompetent Goofy to save the little bug, who becomes the bait for a half-dozen fish.[6] As Wilbur gets tricked again and again, he is even swallowed by a frog; then that frog gets eaten by a stork, all while Goofy desperately attempts a chasing rescue. In the end Wilbur hatches out of the stork egg, and to Goofy's relief, is unharmed.

This Walt Disney Collectors Society figurine features Goofy and Wilbur engaging in a fishing adventure. This rare sculpture is a sample. It was one of a handful of very rare sample figures made by the WDCC, and was used as a guide for their artists to ensure the correct color to be used on the finished product. This figure looks just like the finished product except for the stampings on the bottom.

Note: Even more rare is that typically these sculptures don’tcome with a WDCC box, nor with a certificate of authenticity however this one does!! Your one of a kind sculptures includes the original box and COA.
