Description:This round pontiled bottle is strongly embossedW.W. HUFF'S / LINIMENT originates from Buffalo, New Yorkâpre-Civil War dates from the mid-1850s.Height:4 1/2"Lip: Globby applied topBase: Large, sharp, open pontil.Color: Aqua. A tiny bit of some faint internal opaque stain. No harm in making an open bubble on the inside of the bottle.Doesn't look like a dug bottle. Super clean and shiny with tons of whittle. No chips, cracks, dings, or scratches.Remarks:Excellent old early pontil medicine bottle dates from the 1850s. I have seen several of these bottles that were dug, All have been in poor condition. This bottle is by far the best example I have seen. It would look great in any pontiled medicine collection, or on a window or shelf.
