Each mug stands 5\" Tall, top opening 2 3/8\" - 5 ounce capacity
all in very nice condition, no chips or crcks, no gilding wear...acquired at an estate sale in Ontario, Canada
The gorgeous cobalt blue and gold gilded is by W. C. Bunting Pottery Co and depicts McMaster University\'s logo. All four mugs are in great to excellent condition. The bottom of the mug shows that it was made by the \"W. C. Bunting Co. A Great Name in Pottery Wellsville - Ohio\". According to references, the W. C. Bunting Company is a very respected and recognized pottery company that began in 1880. However, it was not until circa 1946 that W. C. Bunting became a \"Ceramic Decorating Firm\". An old building advertisement shows their claim to fame as being, \"The Home of the College Mug\". Hence, the gorgeously accented black and gold souvenir school mug appears to have been produced after circa 1946. Also, it was not until Ohio\'s homecoming game against Miami on October 22nd, 1960 that the Mr. Bobcat mascot depicted on the side of the mug first appeared. Hence, this particular souvenir mug was most likely produced in the early to mid 1960 -1970\'s. The incredible gold gilt-like trim against the deep blue color gives this gorgeous souvenir mug a very rich and classy appearance.Questions? Please contact us.
