Pre-owned. Very good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs!

There is some slight crazing of the shorter owl due to age. The shorter owl also has a small area of permanent marker on the bottom (Shown in pictures). These figurines are hand-painted!

These vintage owl pottery figures are from the city of Tonala within the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area in the state of Jalisco in Mexico. The handpainted designs represents the rich history and culture of the country and the intricate details showcases the artisans’ skills. “Tonala has long been recognized as a center for ceramics in Mexico. The streets are filled with artisan workshops and sidewalk stalls selling pottery and stoneware pieces.”

Both owls are marked “Mexico” or “Mex.”

The pieces range from 4 1/2” to 6” Tall, 3” to 4 3/4” Across and 3 1/4” to 4 1/2” in Depth. The taller owl weighs 6.4 oz and the shorter owl weighs 5.3 oz.
