Vintage Revere Ware 4-Quart Pressure Cooker Copper Bottom With Trivet,Gasket, Lid and Pressure Gauge Circa 1940s. Stainless Steel Sides with traditional copper clad bottom. The pressure gauge dates this pot to the last half of the 1940s. This is part of the early 1801 Revere Ware Series. The concentric circles around the Revere Ware logo on the bottom of the pan was used for Revere Ware pans made prior to 1968. These pans were made with thicker metal than the post 1968 production. The thicker, heavier metals were beneficial for both durability and for more consistent cooking results. The pre-1968 pans are the ones collectors desire most. New gaskets are still available from Revere Ware, but the original trivets are hard to find these days. Original replacement trivets have not been available for quite some time from Revere Ware parts. This pan would make a nice addition to a personal collection and make a handsome display piece.
