TWO VINTAGE RED HANDLED POTATO MASHERS - Painted Wood Handles

These two vintage potato mashers have redpainted handles. The handles are worn,discolored, and the paint is flaking off in spots. One has a white stripe around the handle nearthe top, the wood of the other has a carved ring design. They would date from the 1930s – 1960s. The one with the white ring measuresapproximately 9 5/8 inches tall and the mashing area is approximately 4 inchesby 3 inches with the wood part of the handle being 4 inches in length. The metal near the top does have some rust,the blade area has discoloration, age patina and light rust. The other one measures approximately 9 ¾ inchestall, with mashing area being approximately 4 inches by 2 ¾ inches, the woodhandle is approximately 4 ¼ inches long.The metal on this one is heavily discolored and does have moderate rustareas on it. Both would displaywonderfully with any collection of vintage kitchen items.
