This vintage smoking pipe, pouch set is a unique, one of a kind piece of Native American history. The pipe is entirely made of deer/elk antler(antlers are bone), this design is intricately crafted and adds a touch of cultural elegance to even the most prestige collections. Its small, at just 5 1/2 inches, and perfect for traveling or safe storage. Most of the provenance is unknown, except the item appeared to have not been used until we tested it. Upon separating it into pieces,we noticed a ting hairline crack in the wood. When putting it back together, use care not to damage the wood. Gently push until the 2 pieces are flush with the leather laying flat. Slowly turn to the right, until it is snug. We determoned it functions fully as intended, even with the hairline crack.(which is not visible unless you take it apart) The artist & origin were also not known, this only adds to it's mysteriousness,and making it the perfect conversation starter. Made with all natural products, like deer/elk for the antler(the actual pipe) the bullhide makes the colorful leather strips on the pipe & pouch.there is real white rabbit fur for decoration. The antler is 100% bone, and was drilled through making it a 2 piece wither rabbit fulthis 2-piece set is a rare find for collectors of Native American items.
