Vtg Enesco Juggles The Bear \"Be A Clown\" Music Box 1984 Collectible #4505 L. Ed:

This vintage Enesco music box features Juggles the Bear and plays the song \"Be a Clown\".  Made in Taiwan, this collectible item was produced in 1984 and is numbered for authenticity. The intricate handcrafted details make this music box a truly unique piece to add to any collection. Perfect for decoration or as a gift for a music box enthusiast.

This item is a limited edition numbered 4505 out of 7500 by artist Pat Fye.

The closed box measures approximately 7 inches on each side. The wood is brown with a whimsical juggling clown bear on each side that is painted in country blue, light yellow and white. There is a thin floral pink tulip border on the edges of all sides enclosed with the same country blue. There are 4 rounded feet on the bottom of the box. There are 2 metal hinges on the back of the box that attach it to the lid. The one main front clasp is etched with a delicate floral design.

***There is a very small area of damage on the left front top of the lid. Please see pictures.

This item is handmade. The inside of the box, including the underside of the lid, is lined with vintage moss green and cream vertical stripes witha tiny floral patterned fabric. The bear is dressed in that same fabric that has a ruffled collar and an attached vintage doily upper collar. The Bear is a pretty fawn coloration with brown glass eyes. The nose and mouth are sewn and shaped with black stitching. She wears a curled straw hat adorned with purple and cream colored ribbons that match the ribbons that hang from the middle front of her doily-like collar.

Key on bottom is recommended to be turned no more than 3 times. Although this item is called a \"jack-in-the-box\", it does not open and pop up the traditional way when the music stops. The bear inside is not related or connected in function with the music. It is not broken, just designed that way. When you lift the decorative front metal clasp, the bear will then pop up. To close, just press head evenly down and then close the clasp.
