This vintage ELGIN AMERICAN Ladies Powder Compact is a beautiful example of cosmetics memorabilia. The compact measures 2.75\" x 2.75\" x .25\" and has an etched floral design on the gold-tone metal case. Each of the four flowers 🌸 has a faint \"rose-gold\" finish. The sides, front, and back of the compact are in very good shape with only a few scratches or \"rub marks\" due to age and normal use. Please see photos 📷.
The hinge and open-release button work as designed. The powder compartment cover is secure and opens easily by pressing the button on the right edge of the cover. The mirror is clear with no cracks. The powder is gone, and the inside is clean. The original square puff remains in the powder compartment. This is a perfect item for those who appreciate and collect vintage vanity items.
Included is a vintage cosmetics clutch, embossed with silver branches and berries. It measures 5.5\" x 4\" and has a single snap closure. Inside is a side compartment for your powder compact and lipstick. A \"removable\" compartment holds a 3.5\" x 2.5\" mirror and a 4\" comb.
