Please see photos and thabks for looking! Item is vintage pre owned condition. There is light surface scratching on the tray that can be specifically seen in the last few photos. There is also one area on one swan that appears discolored at the bottom , this matches the golden color paint used along the heads where a similar effect can be seen, this is not a stain. This vintage Couroc serving tray features a beautiful mid-century modern design with the iconic \"Swan Boats of Boston\" pattern. Crafted from durable phenolic resin, this large rectangular tray measures Approximately 18 inches in length and 12 inches in width. The black color and sleek shape of the tray make it the perfect addition to any kitchen or home.

Guthrie Courvoisier Founded Couroc in 1948 in Monterey California with his wife Moira Wallace being one of the skilled artisans.  She was a child prodigy from the age of eleven. Roy Disney granted Courvoisier the exclusive right to market Disney animation art. He developed a philonic resin material made from shell\'s ,coins, Woods, and metals that are fused into Courouc\'s Famous Black Satin material that resembles ebony wood. Impervious to Alcohol, boiling water ,and cigarette burns indicating an earlier year tray by the sticker. His wife headed the design department. Famous for saying \" Any tray can serve a drink, Only Couroc can start a conversation!.\" The trays were very popular and often sold at high end department stores.

This original piece, made in the United States, is a   Reproduction Of the Swan Boats in Boston.  Created by Couroc exclusively for Shreve Crump & Low, Boston Massachusetts. The Swan boats , Around the ponds of Boston gardens, were introduced in 1877 by George Paget and are still ran today by his descendants. Shreve Crump & Low was founded in 1796 shortly after the Revolutionary war. John Mc farland opened his shop across the street from Paul Revere. In the 1800\'s the name was changed to Shreve\'s. In 1869 the company Shreve Crump & Low was formed by merger.  Affected by the great Boston fire of 1872. Shreve remains in business today with 2 locations,  and is one of America\'s oldest Jewlers. This is a beautiful tray to add to your collection!
