Vtg 1966 McCall's 8553 Misses Size 16-1/2 Suit Pattern - Cut But Complete:

This is a vintage 1966 McCall's 8553 Misses Size 16-1/2, Bust 37 Suit and Overblouse pattern. Single-breasted jacket with three-quarter length set-in sleeves, three section slim skirt and back buttoned overblouse. Lined jacket has fake pocket flaps. Faced collar, fronts and flaps are interfaced. Dart fitted skirt has back pleat and let side zipper. Waistband is interfaced and skirt may be underlined. Overblouse is gathered to yoke at side front. Set-in, cap sleeves are faced. Bateau neckline is faced and neck and buttoned back edges may be interfaced.
Pattern is cut but all pieces are present.Envelope is torn but pattern is not affected. Please note there is a piece of transparent tape on a small tear in Piece #7 (see third photo).
Suggested fabrics are: Skirt and jacket - velveteen, flannel, synthetic suitings, gabardine, lightweight wools, lightweight tweeds, linen, pique, bonded wools, bonded jersey; Overblouse - crepe, synthetic mixtures, surah, jersey, wool crepe, soft satin, printed silks or cottons, silk or cotton broadcloth, shantung.
