A unique process was developed to create these lovely lamps and nightlights. First, a thin layer of opaque black porcelain is cast over translucent white porcelain. Next, we carefully etches the black porcelain away in an intricate pattern, revealing the milky white porcelain underneath. Then, the piece is fired in a kiln at over 2300 degrees F., which gives the porcelain great strength and the white porcelain its lovely A thin layer of opaque black porcelain is cast on top of white translucent porcelain. Then, the artist carefully etches the black away in select areas, revealing the white porcelain underneath, creating a high contrast 3-dimensional pattern.

This candle holder is designed for use with either a standard tea light candle, or an LED type candle. (The LED candle is not included).
