The first printing of this was 1971. This is a reprint from 1988. This book is an excellent condition, especially since the pop-app book couple of the corners are dog-eared. The binding is wonderful. And I pictured one rip on page three by the elf carrying the diamonds. The rip does not interfere with the pop-up at all. Also on that page I.
