This is a original envelope (originals say Indian Motocycle instead of Motorcycle, \"This Letter Was Carried By Indian Motorcycle With Side Car, From Milwaukee To Green Bay, Via Oshkosh By Henry O. Meisel, Accompanied By Joe Campbell Of Milwaukee, On Tuesday, July 31st, 1928

Envelope has return address from Indian agent in Clintonville, Wisconsin and envelope has printed address to Indian Motorcycle Co. in Springfield, Mass. Envelope has minor creasing but is otherwise extremely clean. Front and back both carry an ink stamp reading \"Last Day/Air Mail/Of 10¢ Rate.\" Front has canceled air mail stamp as well as Milwaukee Wisconsin July 31 1928 postmark. The envelope has individualized serial number of \"B 378.\" Back of the envelope has text stating \"This Letter Was Carried By Indian Motorcycle With Side Car, From Milwaukee To Green Bay, Via Oshkosh By Henry O. Meisel, Accompanied By Joe Campbell Of Milwaukee, On Tuesday, July 31st, 1928/Total Of 388 Souvenir Air Mail Letters Were Carried On This Trip.\" Reverse also has a Chicago July 31 Air Mail cancellation. There is also a block of text on the back reading \"Due To Delays Before Start From Milwaukee Connections Were Missed For Airplane Service On July 31st.\" Meisel was apparently the owner of the agency as his name appears on the front as part of the return address.
