Vintage leather Tefillin, Jewish Tallit/Tallis prayer shawl, and 3 velvet bags:

Included are vintage Tefillin, Tallit prayer shawl, and 3 bags. Please look at all the pictures and read the descriptions below.What you see is what you get. The Tefillin must be getting close to 100 years old and I believe that the arm box is right-handed (worn on the left). The leather straps are in very good condition although the box covers are very worn on a couple of sides. The accompanying red velvet bag with yellow interior is 8" x 8" and has a tear in the lining on one side of the zipper. Tefillin in Hebrew is on the front. It opens and closes fully but with care. See photosThe Tallit is of prayer shawl size at 63" x 19.5", is just over 50 years old, and has rarely been worn. It has always been neatly folded in the blue velvet bag which is 10" x 8". This bag also has lining tears but also opens and closes with care. See photos.The larger red bag is 12" x 10.5" is very similar to the smaller Tefillin bag but says Tallit in Hebrew on the front. It was obviously made for a Tallit which I do not have. This bag with purple lining is beautiful and has no issues that I am aware of. See photos.I don't know where these pieces were manufactured nor do I know what material the Tallit is made of. I can say that it feels more like linen or silk and not wool. However, I guess it is possible that it could be a synthetic fiber. I have done my best with the description and many photos to be clear about the conditions of these items but please reach out to me with any questions.
