This textile is an intricately detailed vintage kalamkari, dating to around 1940-1950. This piece has an incredibly rare design! It’s all hand block printed onto heavyweight cotton and has beautiful twisted fringe. There is also a stamp in one corner noting that it is a “ghalamcar” (ie, kalamkari). This textile is such a wonderful heavyweight it would be perfect for so many projects - a tablecloth, bedcover, pillows, upholstery, lampshades, or simply for design inspiration!
MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approximately 46 by 65 inches
CONDITION: This kalamkari has been left in unwashed, as found condition, but can be hand or machine washed and hung to dry! This textile has a few very faint marks but otherwise is in beautiful condition for this type of antique textile!
