Vintage booklet of \"Budlet\" cosmetic powdered paper, or papier poudre, possibly dating to the 1920s to 1940s. The white card stock wrappers are printed in pink and black with a pale peach flower bud emerging from a gold embossed stem. There is tiny text printed on the back in both Chinese and English, which reads:
\"Rubbing lightly face and neck with a sheet of \'Budlet\' Scented Powdered Paper torn from the booklet will remove grime and oil from the skin, leaving a thin film of perfumed powder which whitens the skin and enhances the natural beauty of complexion. \'Budlet\' Scented Powdered Paper, prepared with find powder of non lead content and delicately perfumed, is bound in a booklet easy to carry. It is most suitable to use during traveling, gymnasticizing, dancing or in theatre etc. Available in various shades of white, natural pink etc. to blend with individual complexion colorings.\"
The booklet is in fair vintage condition and contains a few dozen papers. While they no longer carry any scent, the papers still hold pale pink powder and can be used for blotting. This rare cosmetic will make a wonderful addition to a vintage beauty or vanity collection.
