Handmade with great care and attention to detail probably in the 1960s give or take.This Mr and Mrs. Snowman couple came out of an estate in a suburb of Boston. They were in a third floor bedroom and not particularly packed up well - they were mixed up loosely with a bunch of other Chrismtas decor - so there is some dirt and particles on them.However I think all or nearly all of the brown particles you see that look like dirt can be carefully picked off the sewing batting. I think most of it is stuff that came off other holiday decorations like wreaths and stuff.In the last three photos you can see that I have picked off two of the larger pieces of stuff - I think it was like straw.Picking everything off will take tiime and patience that I do not have.Still I think these cute guys are worth saving and I hope someone out there will appreciate the work that went into them.The lady is about 9” tall and the fella is about 12” to the top of his hat.Thanks for looking!😀
