Now up for sale at Monument Square Antiquesis a Vintage c. 1900 Nanbu Tetsubin Japanese Cast Iron Hobnail Tea Kettlein ExcellentUSEDCondition (B+ to A- Condition)With no cracks or broken parts - there is some rust inside and outside of the pot - the outside will display nicely. The black hobnail cast iron \"squatty\" teapot measures 6 inches high and 7 inches in diameter. The marks are under the spout - The upper vertical two characters reads top-to-bottom \"南部\" gf1 (Nan Bu, means \"Southern Part\"), which is a Japanese cast iron brand Nanbu Tekki.
Bottom two is \"山绿\"(Mountain Green), but should be read right-to-left since it\'s a traditional seal, as \"绿山\" - \"Green Mountain\" (read as \"Midori Yama\" in Japanese).
