Lovely vintage brass bowl with beautiful scalloped rim crown bowl/compote with footed bottom. Exact period this was made isn\'t known, however, it likely dates to the 40s-60s. The upper rim has a 3d scalloped edge and is quite beautiful. There are no markings on the bottom to indicate where it was made. This was practically black when we acquired it, so we did a light cleaning on it to bring out some of the luster and shine (such a satisfying thing to do), so we left some of the buffing for you to do, because it really does feel good to watch a vintage item like this come back to full glory. However, we did clean it enough that if you don\'t feel up to the task, it does have a nice shine. The quality of the brass is very good, and the piece, even though small has some weight to it. This is a vintage piece and does show signs of age and wear, particularly with the patina that is still evident on this piece. Please view photos for more detail, or contact us if you have questions.
